all I was getting was Face ID Not Available so I googled it & boom first thing on this article was turn off device for some reason although we did all the trouble shooting I never thought about shutting off the device once I turned it on it was working like a charm thank you! what would you expect on an iphone x? Agree, nothing helped on me end either. I have had the same issue but Apple Support were dismissive and refused to replace the phone as they did for others here. of course there is going to be something wrong with it.

tbh I am kinda used to apple's quality control nowadays, battery was defect for my iphone 5, front facing camera was mis-aligned on my iphone 6, been using android after that, finally decided to come back to ios and give x a try, o boy was I right.
