Thanks for a great kid-friendly recipe! A simple shrimp pasta with tons of flavor! yum! Serve immediately. And be sure to reserve about 1 cup of cooking liquid when you boil the pasta. I just posted about this!
Cook asparagus in water until bright green and crisp tender. Cook pasta according to package directions. What a cinch. Stir in turkey and tomatoes and heat through.
Combine cream and lemon juice; gradually stir into broccoli mixture. Since it’s on the heavier side, I served it up with a BIG arugula salad, which I kind of toss together on the plate and turn it into a shrimp pasta with fresh and crispy arugula. Just ordered the cookbook!
I’ve made something similar before, but this was more successful because of the two full Tbsp. I agree that this recipe as is came out too bland. MELT butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat; add garlic, and saute 1 to 2 minutes. You should note to add the egg slowly and lower the temp BEFORE putting it in. Stir in basil. I flavored the shrimp with a teeny tiny bit of minced garlic (because who doesn’t love garlic in this house) and a pinch of red pepper flakes. I really want to try this! I do not think that the zest is neccesary though. Granted, I modified a bit. I love the dress in the photo as well! I finished it off with some parmesan and chopped basil to make it even more delicious! Bring a large saucepan of water to the boil. I used half-n-half, and added artichokes, asparagus, fresh tomatoes, and mushrooms to the sauce. Sprinkle on as much or as little of the parmesan as you like on your shrimp pasta. 2 %. My son (who has done catering/ sous-chef work) suggested adding capers, so will try that. Going to give it a try tonight. https://smittenkitchen.com/2019/06/simplest-spaghetti-al-limone/, https://cupofjo.com/2017/07/our-italy-vacation/, https://davidrocco.com/2017/08/13/spaghetti-al-limon/, https://ohsheglows.com/2011/01/31/15-minute-creamy-avocado-pasta/.
I froze half and we can't wait to eat it this week!! I just love this blog and love the food posts so much:) I find them simple and delicious! 2 small things I did differently- 1) I cooked my shrimp in oven 400 degrees for 8 mins (tossed first with olive oil, salt pepper) and 2) I added a heaping teaspoon of flour and 1/4 Parmesan cheese into the sauce to give it some thickness. Add cream or half and half, and lemon zest. Thank you for reading! For anyone who wants to go egg- and cream-free, check out this one: Side not but I loooove that dress the model is wearing with the blue roses. 3/4 pound (about 4 portions) spaghetti dried parsley, soymilk, paprika, dried basil, garlic cloves, firm silken tofu and 1 more. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, saute turkey in 1 tablespoon butter until no longer pink. MELT butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat; add garlic, and saute 1 to 2 minutes. I added steamed asparagus!!! The pepperiness pairs beautifully with the natural sweetness of shrimp. Remove shrimp to a plate. Squeeze the juice of the remaining lemons into the sauce, add salt and pepper to taste, then toss the pasta into the frying pan. So delicious!!! I finished it off with some parmesan and chopped basil to make it even more delicious! Tear up the thyme sprigs, sprinkle generously over and serve immediately. Overall, this was a great recipe and I will definately use it again! The sauce truly makes the whole dish come together. Oh, Skye! Bring to a boil, and cook 8 minutes or until reduced by half. Agreed!
So we mixed a bit of chicken stock in the reserved cooking water and added briny black olives to the finished dish.

It’s easy ingredients like butter, garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, broth, and some half and half or heavy cream. I love this one. Very tasty!
campanelle pasta (or short noodles of your choice), 1 lb. Pumpkin Pancakes with Homemade Buttermilk Syrup, 1 lb. This was a FANTASTIC idea! When the pasta is cooked, drain in a colander, reserving a little of the cooking water (roughly 1⁄4 cup). Had a bit left over- tasted even better the next day!
I would recommend cooling the zest mixture before adding other ingredients to keep it smooth!
I tried to make this recipe and followed it exactly. It does not reheat for leftovers though. spaghetti, penne or linguine pasta – really you can use any pasta you have in the pantry. There’s no hard/fast rule here. This will come in handy to help loosen the pasta/sauce later.
This recipe was fabulous!

I would not suggest this recipe to people who do not like tart food, but for those who do, this is one you must try. It has parm but it’s much lighter. It sounds weird, but I make a very similar version to this and it tasted great! The BOMB!!!!! Whisk lemon juice mixture and pepper into sauce to combine. Squeeze the juice of the remaining lemons into the sauce, add salt and pepper to taste, then toss the pasta into the frying pan. But we still like yummy pasta hahaha!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!! Add pasta water if needed to help thin sauce to coat pasta. Remove from heat. In the meantime, prepare the sauce by whisking together the half & half, flour, lemon juice, lemon zest, garlic and seasonings. Basil and lemon go well together.
