So the Lamb has fullness of power on the basis of his death.

But when we look back on history we find that the truly great problems, the ones we wrestle with every day, are the same that men and women were wrestling with since the very dawn of time -- the problem of war, of conflict between human beings, the problems of crime, evil and prejudice -- these have always been with us. Jesus’s reign is supreme and unending, and he “upholds the universe by the word of his power” (Hebrews 1:3). Of my fifty favorite things about the Book of Revelation, I’ll mention five that certainly offer considerable perspective and hope for us today. As the Lion of Judah, Jesus will rule the world with a rod of iron. This scroll, John says, was written both on the front and the back.
But then John learns that the problem is already solved. He set my feet on a rock to stay. I felt cheated and robbed. Lions roar; lambs die! Will you stand with those who gladly confess the Lordship of Jesus, or will you be with those who reluctantly acknowledge that he is right and they are wrong?
