I pushed the black knob to vent ... put food in pushed on then slow cook feature and start and it seems like it takes forever to get going... unfortunately I lost my manual... can you assist in what I might be doing wrong? First of all, thank you for all your wonderful recipes and instructional videos. You can always add time, but you can't un-cook food. There is a second box and inside that box is the actual Ninja Foodi. Broil? One recipe was inedible it was so salty. I've been working on a few things and hope to have some safe cleaning suggestions soon. Now I am trying to learn how to slow cook with it.
The quick answer is, it depends. Usually 4-6 minutes per pound is normal. I love this feature of the Ninja Foodi and use it all the time.
There is also a silver anti-clog cap on the inside of the pressure cooker lid that can (and should) be removed and cleaned before the first use and after every use.
Full natural releases can take anywhere from just a few minutes to over an hour depending on what you are cooking and how much liquid is in the pot.
