T he original section of the Northampton Hotel was a private home built in 1909. Did not stay up here but ate dinner in charming dining room and shopped in very inspiring gift shop. They added a massive upstairs porch with swings and seats which adds to the square footage of the rooms..I spent most of my time on the porch, not in the room, honestly.

The Northampton was beyond our expectations with so many small touches that we appreciated, such as an elevator, common room with coffee/snacks, small bookcase with books/magazines, luxurious bedding and one of the most comfortable mattresses I've ever slept on, and a manager who was so gracious and went out of her way to make us feel welcome. Wonderful few days! We are closed on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast one morning while staying at the hotel. When you go in, you order, and then are seated, so there is no waiting around just to put in...an order. Lunch is served from 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM. The sitting area on your porch is so relaxing with unobstructed views of the bay and harbor. This beautiful hotel took two years to restore back to its original glory. Our waitress was very attentive and we just had a lovely overall experience.

I highly recommend you stay here and enjoy a peaceful and confortable stay at this lovely.
