Before that we had built and sailed one of his Jessie Cooper designs and liked it so much we wanted something larger so had Phil stretch the Jessie Cooper from 26' to 37'. I don't have the plans for this boat, but several of PCB's similar boats have a little bow cockpit. I think one of the Cape Cod cats on the same site would be a more satisfying boat in terms of performance. That is a junky ( full battens) funky rig. Drainage is provided for the inevitable waves that will come through the slit. Other designers of flat-bottom boats that have kept the bows low like YMT's include William and John Atkin and Bruce Kirby. I'm also very curious about it's sailing characteristics. ... 501 101 2.
